• Expansion joint treatment using PVC strips and epoxy systems to ensure watertight sealing.
• Application of the Comproof waterproofing system across all roof surfaces.
• Protective acrylic coating applied over the waterproofing system.
• Casting of reinforced concrete with admixtures for enhanced strength, flowability, and reduced water demand.
• Addition of steel fibers within the concrete for crack resistance.
• Final treatment with cementitious crystalline waterproofing.
• Expansion joints sealed with polysulphide sealant.
The existing surfaces were covered with old bitumen layers from previous waterproofing works. Removing this layer was essential to ensure adhesion of the new system.
The team used specialized mechanical scarifying machines to remove all traces of bitumen, performed complete surface preparation, and then successfully applied the new waterproofing, coatings, and concrete systems.
