Sika Intraplast Z is an expanding grout admixture in powder form. It introduces micro-bubbles into the cement mix, producing wet volume expansion and increased fluidity without segregation. It is non-toxic, non-flammable, and does not contain chlorides or other corrosive ingredients. The expansion is caused by the formation of tiny, densely distributed hydrogen gas bubbles, which also contribute to a high degree of frost resistance in the set material. Sika Intraplast Z plasticizes the mix, allowing for a water reduction of up to 20% for equal fluidity, thereby improving the strength of the grout. The initial retarding effect improves grout penetration and reduces water separation and bleeding. The expansive forces generated completely fill voids and fissures.
