Description

Mapeband TPE 170 is a professional-grade, highly durable and flexible tape designed for sealing and waterproofing expansion joints and cracks that are subject to movement. It is 17 cm wide and 1.2 mm thick, reinforced with polyester non-woven fabric on the sides. The tape is made of Thermoplastic Polyolefine (TPE), which combines the best properties of thermoplastic polymers and synthetic elastomer technology. It can accommodate movement up to 5 mm.

Excellent resistance to alkalis, bitumen, diluted lye, slightly acidic solutions, and salt solutions.

Uses

Mapeband TPE 170 is used for flexible sealing and waterproofing expansion joints and cracks subject to movement. Typical applications include waterproofing expansion joints in roadworks, tunnels, hydraulic works (such as channels, basins, drains, and pipework), and covering areas subject to movement. It is also used for sealing expansion joints in prefabricated panels and structural joints in facades.
