Hempadur Avantguard 750

Description

Hempadur Avantguard 750 is a two-component, activated zinc-rich epoxy primer. It complies with the requirements of ISO 12944 Part 5, 2018 and Level 2, type II in SSPC Paint 20, 2019. It also fully complies with ASTM D520 type II and EU Directive 2004/42/EC (Paints Directive on VOC limitation, subcategory j). This product is an innovative anti-corrosion coating based on activated zinc, utilizing Hempel's Avantguard technology to reduce corrosion effects and offer advanced protection.

Excellent mechanical strength, even in cyclic temperatures, with improved tolerance to high film thicknesses through high flexibility and self-healing effect.
Superior tolerance to high relative humidity during application, and cures down to -10°C (14°F).
Fast drying primer with short minimum overcoating intervals (45 minutes at 20°C).
Less sensitive to application conditions such as humidity and temperature, resulting in less blistering compared to similar zinc epoxies without Avantguard technology.
More tolerant towards high film thicknesses than zinc epoxies without Avantguard technology.
Excellent stability, sprayability, film formation, drying time, and sag resistance.
No special application technique or equipment is needed.

Uses

Hempadur Avantguard 750 is recommended as a versatile primer for long-term protection of steel in severely corrosive environments, including offshore applications. It can be used for the same applications as any zinc epoxy without Avantguard technology.
