Deliver comprehensive training on the concepts and applications of positive-side and negative-side waterproofing for water-retaining structures; enhance teams’ capabilities in surface preparation, repair, and execution on both the water-facing and opposite sides; and meet the consultant’s requirements for technical training and supervision.

On-site theoretical lecture covering water ingress mechanisms, hydrostatic pressure, and selection criteria between positive and negative systems; practical demonstrations by GCMB technicians on surface preparation and tank repair using grout and bonding agents; hands-on applications for crack treatment, tie-rod details, and joint detailing; and a step-by-step walkthrough of positive-side (water-facing) and negative-side applications, including curing and quality control.
Participants gained the ability to select and execute the appropriate system correctly; contractors’ readiness to handle complex technical details was improved; and GCMB subsequently supervised execution covering approximately 150,000 m² of waterproofing works.
